Vehicle description

1965 Ford Mustang Fastback - Full restored

This 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback has been professionally fully (nut & bolt) restored and rebuilt to the absolute highest quality standards (concours) using all 100% new original number matched Ford parts (FOMOCO). Restoration recently completed by our professional restoration partner.

This fastback received one of the most coveted and vintage-looking paint colors, Burgundy Metallic Red, the same color the car left the factory in 1965. The engine has also been completely overhauled and has been given a performance camshaft and the intake/exhaust system has been further upgraded. The original 289Cu (4.7L) V8 now delivers around 275 HP!

This classic is equipped with various upgrades, including:

- 4 barrel aluminum Edelbrock intake,

- new 4 barrel Edelbrock 650 cfm carburator

- Ignition upgraded to electronic One-Wire performance high voltage ignition distributor

- Completely new interior

- Original new Kayes-Haynes 4-piston front disc brakes with power booster and 2-chamber master cylinder

- All numbers match (vin# and door tag)

- Optional Styled steel rims with original double-red lined BF Goodrich Radial TA tires

- Nice Flowmaster stainless steel Series 44 dual exhaust system (nice sound but not too loud) with headers

- Modern Retrosound FM Radio with good modern speakers (incl. AUX input to stream music)

- Original center console

- Aluminum 3 core radiator to keep the performance block nice and cool Door label and chassis number all correspond to the correct specifications.

This Fastback has a newly rebuilt original 289Cu-4V V8 engine and C-4 automatic transmission, running on an 8-inch rear axle with a 2.79 gear ratio (resulting in low cruising speeds on the highway). This car has been fully rotisserie restored (from the ground up/inside out) and it runs and drives great. Literally every part, including but not limited to nuts and bolts, windows, chrome, rubbers, electronics, wiring, the entire interior (incl. seats, dashboard, door panels) and exterior parts are all BRAND NEW and/or fully restored to original condition.

The bodywork is very sleek and the paint and undercarriage look great and are in pristine condition. The body has been blasted, epoxy primed and finished with a base/clear coat, which is extremely deep and smooth. In addition, the paint is further polished after the spraying process for extra shine and to make it "shine" like a mirror.

The car is riding on new STYLED STEEL and BF GOODRICH tyres, needs absolutely nothing and is a full show car in its current state. All metalwork and assembly has been done correctly to ensure that the restoration of this car will last a lifetime. 1965 Mustang Fastbacks are now second only to Shelby's Mustangs in desirableness, value and a guaranteed solid investment.

This car is parked in our specialized Mustang shop in the Netherlands, has a Dutch registration and can be delivered with any European registration (including H-kennzeichen).
