Step back into the glamour and bold style of the 1960s with this stunning 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe, finished in the iconic special-order “Playboy Pink.”
One of only a handful ever produced in this rare color through Ford’s special DSO (Domestic Special Order) program, this Mustang pays homage to the legendary promotional tie-ins between Ford and Playboy Magazine that made the original “Playmate Pink” Mustangs an icon of the era.
The doortag and VIN# are matching this extreme rare special edition from Ford, so 100% authentic.
Provenance
This Mustang is believed to be one of very few 1967 convertibles finished in a custom pink at the original buyer’s request. Documented with a Deluxe Marti Report showing the special paint order code. A true conversation starter at any show — and a fun link to the playful, glamorous culture of 1960s America.
Mister-Mustang is offering this very cool ALL NEW, FULL body-off restored 1967 Ford Mustang GT Convertible, V8(289Cy-300+) with automatic deluxe AOD transmission with overdrive.
This beautty has been fully rotisserie restored (nut&bolt restored) and rebuild to absolute highest quality standards. Restoration recently completed after 2 years work of a professional high-end classic mustang carshop and car has just 500 KM on the meter.
The outside/undercarriage/engine/driveline/suspension and interior is all very detailed and in all new PRESTINE/CONCOURS condition. No costs spared to build this iconic classic performance Mustang.
Full report and pictures of the restauration are archived and available in a so called ‘’treasury map’’ with full documented history as this car has an extreme interesting background. This iconic Mustang was first sold at a customer in Peru and original PERU plate is included in the sale, now this classic received a fresh 1967 Dutch registration after full restoration process was completed.
This mustang has been rebuild using an extensive list of optional equipment, including various upgrades, main items were standard equipped on this classic:
– GT fog lamps (part of the GT option list)
– GT performance suspension package (part of the GT option list)
– GT dual 2,5 inch mandrel bended custom exhaust system exiting the rear valancee GT option list), with 2x stainless steel MAGNAFLOW mufflers (great deep tone but not too loud)
– Factory equipped POWERED front disc brakes(Kynes Hayes 4 piston calipers)
– All new lenses on instruments and speedometer in original KM, not miles (very rare)
– Battery meter/battery main power switch
– Woodrain steering wheel- Export brace (versteviging voorchassis)
Original Door tag available which matches the correct specifications for the exterior and interior colour. The car is painted in the original special paint ‘’Playboy pink’’ and shows extremely nice. Once your see the paint by yourself the colour is just fabulous and shows much deeper and lighter with a nice look.
The original 289CU windor 210HP engine receive a full new rebuild by installing the famous Edelbrock E-street performance package, now producing a grisp and sounding 300+ HP, which includes:

– Flametrower Billet distributor with electronic ignition
– Flametrower high voltage performance ignition coil
– MSD sillicone 8mm spare plugs wires
– Edelbrock performance aluminium valve covers
– Stainless steel custom made long-tube headers with X-flow section (more torque)
– Aluminum high-flow radiator with 1 electric large SPALL fan
– All billet pulleys on engine (water/crank)
– High torque mini-starter
New ‘’famous&desired’’ AOD 3 speed automatic transmission with overdrive (lockup), shifting by electronic computer, resulting in grisp throttle and gear-change response with comfortable ultimate low RPM ‘s at cruising speed (1.800 RPM at 100 km/hour). This will also save a lot of gasoline during cruising highway speeds
– Upgraded with shift kit for faster gear transitions
– Low gear optioned 2.79 rear differential, making the car very comfortable to drive with low RPM at cruising speeds.
New suspension & brake system
– 1 inch front sway bar for better stability
Other nice features installed :
This car has been completely restored(from ground-up/inside-out). Literally every part, nuts&bolts, windows, chrome, bumpers, lights, rubbers, electronics, wiring, all interior(incl. seats, dashboard, doorpanels) and exterior parts are all BRAND new and/or fully restored to original condition.
The car’s pink paint and the undercarriage looks super clean, as the body has been fully media blasted, epoxy primed and received a professional base/clear coated paint. The paint has been applied in 3(!) layers and shows extremely deep and slick with ‘’mirror-like’’ finishing (paint is fully polished). As you could see from the pictures the car’s underbody is all new and shows in pristine condition in factory oxide red.
Running on new American Racing – Torque trust D – aluminum wheels and BF goodridge wide ‘’white-letter’’ tires (205/60/R15 front, 225/60/R15 rear ), the car needs absolutely nothing and a full showcar in concourse condition.
All metal, paintwork and assembly was done the right way so that the restoration of this car would last a lifetime. The restoration costs was well over 35K Euro, not even considering the purchase value of the car itself!
Other upgrades:
– New Vintage Slidebar Radio by Custom Autosound (combined analog / digital display) with USB Port to streamline music
– 16.5 cm Radio speakers mounted on special fabricated kickpanels.

The car has been fully inspected, everything works perfectly, and it comes with a Dutch classic registration. Delivery with a European registration (BE/DE/etc.) is also possible. This Mustang is not only a joy to drive but also a solid investment for the future.
