1967 Ford Mustang Fastback GT Pro Touring

Here is your chance to own the most clean and best built 1967 Fastback Mustang Restomod. This restomod features a 1968-427 Ford FE Side-oiler with a manual 5 speed overdrive TREMEC TKO-600 transmission.  With only 5000 miles since the completion of the build this fastback is as perfect as they come. Finished in a stunning ‘’Eleanor’’ Pepper Gray Metallic with a black lemans style stripe and black interior. This rare race motor is setup to put out +618 horsepower and with the custom built ceramic coated headers with 4x chambered and custom build Flowmaster mufflers and 3 inch exhaust with switched cut-outs it sounds nothing short of that. The whole car was very thoroughly thought out and using only uses the best products, such as thousands of euro’s spent on the custom built stainless steel headers and Flowmaster exhaust system, full custom interior interior, specially designed brackets and mounts, and many of the hoses are wrapped in a NASA designed heat shielding.

This lifelong 1967 Mustang is a real GT Fastback car and finished its transformation by end of 2022 into what Ford should have produce as an option with the 427dual 4bbl, Lemans winning, 427 side-oiler motor.  It is now an over the top Pro-Touring car. The five year restoration, completed end of 2022, has a timeless appearance with serious performance as the engine is dyno'd at 618 hp on 98 pump gas; Other dyno runs on race gas produced more HP/ Tq .  The heads are stage 3 port matched, ported and polished Robert Pond aluminum heads;  all tig welded 3” stainless steel exhaust including one off stainless headers 2 1/8” stepped to 2” with ½” thick stainless flanges and merge collectors with polished stainless Flowmaster mufflers, O2 sensor bungs and one off stainless tips.  4 wheel adjustable QA-1 coil overs, Heidts PRO-irs independent rear suspension with 4 wheel 4 piston Wilwood disc brakes, polished hand built stainless brake tubes and Wilwood polished master cylinder.  It sports tubular adjustable A arms and heim joint adjustable anti sway bars, adjustable coil overs on an independent front suspension from TCI motorsports; Chrome moly tube frame and no shock towers.

This all started with a "Never" crashed no dent car and period correct Ford 427 Side-oiler Big-Block motor.  The project began with a complete tear down rotisserie media blast and epoxy coat.  The car was so solid it features almost no bodywork and a beautiful base/clear in Eleanor Pepper gray for the external and interior color, then received 5 layers of clearcoat which has received an extensive polishing job, resulting in ‘’mirror-finished’’ quality.   All new rubber, new interior with ProCar custom leather RALLY seats that received adjustable backs.  The seats have extra bolstering and SAMSON 3 inch race seatbelts, all new Deluxe interior panels, dash pad, black 80/20 loop carpet, new tinted windshield with Blue sunband, side windows, backwindow and wing windows, Retrosound ‘’slidebar’’ stereo with Bleutooth connection (music streamline/phone) and 4 speakers, custom built mid console with AIR-Fuel ratio & Voltage meter, entire Interior and trunk is insulated and dynomated, eight Autometer gauges, vintage air-conditioning, original controls for HVAC converted to electronically work modern HVAC, new American Auto-wire throughout vehicle, custom E-brake between the seats, ‘’shelby style’’ fog lights integrated into Billet grille and LED daytime running lights, xenon high intensity halogen head lights, new black painted tilt steering column to match the interior and mounted with an original new 15” MOTOlita Shelby GT350 3 spoke wooden steering wheel.  Dual electric fans controlled by trinary switch with ac on or manually with switch on the dash or thermostatically with engine temp, LED tail lights, Vintage Air Conditioning, trunk mounted RED top Optima battery, trunk and interior color matched fire extinguishers, trunk light, brushed aluminum custom made one off door panel trim, brushed aluminum dash and custom made gauge clusters from AUTOMETER (all electronic ), all electrical grounds go through grounding blocks as do all power wires to power blocks from the battery both in the interior and engine bay, all fans, ac, horns, headlights, lights, fog lights etc. use relays for precise control.  LED lights on dash for: electric fuel pump, electric engine fans, and e brake.  Auto Meter gauges include: gas gauge, water temp, oil pressure, vacuum, volts, electronic type fuel pressure, large tach, large electronic speedo.

Engine: 1967 Le Mans 427 Side-oiler, 4.125 bore, 4.250 Stroke, fully balanced engine with Diamond pistons, 4340 forged Scat crank, full floating H Beam rods, internally balanced, SFI Super Dampener, high output alternator, Sanden ac compressor, Edelbrock hi flow water pump.  MSD electronic ignition and distributor, all controlled by a remote monitor in the interior as part of the FITECH dualx4 electronic fuel injection system and MSD 6AL black heavy duty electronic box, Aluminum Shelby dual quad intake and two 4 barrel EFI carbs from Fitech, so full integrated electronic fuel injection, controlled by a handheld inside the car, being able to control spark plug advance/ rpm limit / fuel pressuse / air-fuel band etc. 10.0 to 1 compression for 91 pump gas, Edelbrock ‘’big valve’’ aluminum stage 3 heads (ported, polished, port matched, flowing @345), original 1968 427 aluminum air cleaner and valve covers, Melling standard volume /pressure oil pump, Comp flat tapped lifters and rocker camshaft, Canton oil pan and pickup.  The engine was balanced/ blueprinted and built by Garrett Jacobson Motorsports, in Northridge CA.  The engine shop specializes in supplying Rouse Yates Racing Engines as well as engine building and dynoing engines. The valuable Ford 427 engine is a high end build comprised of an all-star set of components. The pro-built FiTech EFI system is extremely crisp and responsive to input and is brutally limber throughout the RPM ranges.  Comp Cams camshaft is installed at 3 degrees advanced to bring the rpms down to 1K-6000K.   MSD 8mm silicon sparkplug wires, MSD Blaster high voltage Ignition coil, Scat H beam 6.7” connecting rods, Clevite main, cam and rod bearings, all engine and driveline hardware is all ARP, FelPro gaskets, Akerly & Childs Piston rings, Canton 8 quart oil system, shaft mounted CompCan billet aluminum 1.7 roller rocker arms,   Big Block 3 pass aluminum radiator with 2x Spal High Performance electric fans. Smooth power rack n' pinon steering and stainless tie rods and A arms.  All engine and vehicle lines are AN fitted and heat shielded to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit where needed.  The clutch is a balanced billet steel flywheel and high performance carbon fiber / ceramic DUAL clutch assembly with a hydraulic release bearing ‘’TILTON 6000 series’’ and needle bearing pedal assembly. The 5 speed aluminum TREMEC gearbox has the 0.75 end-gear ‘’overdrive’’ ratio for low cruising RPM speeds.

Exterior:  Eleanor/Pepper gray metallic matched base coat /clear coat painted by Mark Harteveld in Wateringen, NL (one of the best well know car painters in the custom scene).  All chrome including trim, bumpers, grille, bezels, door handles, mirrors are new.  Hood is Shelby style with rear louvers to let heat out and ram air scoops with black grilles to let fresh air in.  The cowl vents removed to give the front of the car a long lean look and to keep debris from entering the cowl.  Hood hinges are billet aluminum gas struts from RINGbrothers, seven custom built engine strengthening bars out of chromed chrome moly and Heim joints.  Front and rear tires are Nitto NT-05 with fronts 235-40R-17 and rears 275-40R-18.  Front and rear wheels are American Racing VN427 17x8 front and 18x10 rear.  Vehicle has daytime running lights and Zenon headlights, fog lights and LED tail lights.

The suspension: Rear end is HEIDS IRS-PRO independent rear suspension system narrowed @ 2"and 31 spine Currie 3rd member.  Rear wheel caster and camber is fully heim joint adjustable.  The fuel system and brake system is stainless steel -8/.5" fuel lines and polished stainless 3/16" brake lines.  Wilwood hydraulic clutch master cylinder and Wilwood tandem 1” bore brake master cylinder, Wilwood 4 wheel disc brakes with 13" rotors - internal E brake,  he undercarriage was refinished in matt black and is easy to clean and maintain.   Power is through a custom 3.5” driveshaft to a Ford 9" rear 3rd member end with 3.50 Strange engineering posi traction.  The car has very smooth road handling characteristics due to the 4 corner adjustable QA-1 coil overs.  The original shock towers have been remove and replaced with a solid frame cross member for strength and a fully independent front tubular A arm coil over suspension with precise power rack n’ pinon steering.   The car is properly aligned and the steering is really tight and responsive.

This automobile was built to the highest standards and would be an excellent addition to any collection.
